About OvalEdge Release 5.1.8

The OvalEdge Release 5.1.8 is the latest release improvised with a new filter option in the Build Auto Lineage module to view all the unprocessed queries and a couple of advanced jobs are implemented to extract the Column Details from the Query and view the usage stats of SAP BO connector within the specified Date and Time.

In this release, the critical and major bugs associated with the Global Search, Data Catalog, Business Glossary, Governance Catalog, File Manager, Administration, and Connectors are fixed and working as expected.

New Features

Advanced Tools - Build Auto Lineage
- In the Advanced Tools > Build Auto Lineage, a new filter option is provided in the Build Auto Lineage page to view all the unprocessed queries.
Advanced Tools - Advanced Jobs
- In the Advanced Tools > Advanced Jobs, a new advanced job is created to extract the Column Details from the Query.
- In the Administration > Advanced Jobs, a new advanced job “Asset Usage Analysis” is implemented for the SAP BO Connector to view the usage stats of SAP BO connector within the specified Date and Time.
Snowflake Connector
- In the Administration > Crawler > Snowflake Connector, the new feature connection string identifier is provided while managing the Snowflake Connection.

1. Global Search
  1. The issue related to the Filtering by Owner or Steward search results is now fixed and working as expected.
  2. The issue related to search functionality not working for the ETL (ADF, Informatica, etc.) Queries are now fixed and working as expected.
Data Catalog
1. In the Data Catalog > Databases > Schema Name, the issue related to the non-display of the Technical Description while downloading descriptions from a table is now fixed and working as expected.
2. In the Data Catalog > Tables and Table Columns, the issue related to the display of incorrect last modified date at the Table and Table Columns Level is now fixed and working as expected.
3. In the Data Catalog > Files > File Name > Profile all Files, the issue related to the non-display of Top Values, Min Value, and Max Value data in the Summary page is now fixed and working as expected.
4. In the Data Catalog > Report Columns > Column Name > Column Details, the issue related to the non-update of the Modified Date for the Report Column Metadata changes is now fixed and working as expected.
Business Glossary
1. In the Business Glossary, the issue related to the editing of the Business Description when the Term is in Published State is now fixed and working as expected.
2. In the Business Glossary > Term Name > Summary, the issue related to the user's unable to Sub Category and Terms at the left pane of the Terms page is now fixed and working as expected.
3. In the Business Glossary, the issue related to not getting Steward and Reviewer for a Term even after providing the Steward and Reviewer Responsibilities at the Security module is now fixed and working as expected.
4. In the Business Glossary, the issue related to the OE Public User with meta read permission able to update the Business Description on the Terms is now fixed and now the system restricts the OE Public User with meta read permission by updating the Business Description on the Terms.
5. In the Business Glossary, the issue related to the non-display of the Reviewer for a particular Term after removing the Category for that Term is now fixed and working as expected.
6. In the Business Glossary, the issue related to changing the Category for a particular Term is now fixed and working as expected.
Data Stories
1. In the Data Stories, when the new data story is created and saved and if the user clicks on any other module name the error message the created data story is not saved is displayed even after clicking on the save button. Now, this issue is fixed and working as expected.
Governance Catalog
1. In the Governance Catalog > Data Quality Rule, the issue related to the execution results for data quality rules showing opposite results from what is suggested by the actual data is now fixed and working as expected.
File Manager
1. In the File Manager > Catalog File/Folders > Google Cloud Storage(GCS), the issue related to the profile file not displaying the data even though the data is available is now fixed and working as expected.
Query Sheet
1. In the Query Sheet, the issue related to the system showing an error while downloading the desired query sheet is now fixed and working as expected.
2. In the Query Sheet, the issue related to changing the Job Status from Error to Success is now fixed and working as expected.
Administration
1. In the Administration > Advanced Jobs > New Advanced Job, the issue related to the user creation advanced job validation and display of (*) marks for the mandatory fields while creating the advanced job are now fixed and working as expected.
2. In the Administration > Advanced Jobs > Asset Usage Analysis Job, the issue related to the attributes getting changed after running the advanced job is now fixed and working as expected.
3. In the Administration > Advanced Jobs, the issue related to the deleting of Story Zones when the "Load Domain and BG Terms and Associate to Columns" advance job is run is now fixed and working as expected.
4. In the Administration > Security > Applications, the issue related to the non-visibility of the Hiding feature for some of the modules is now fixed and working as expected
Connectors
1. In the Administration > Crawler > SAP BO Connector, the issue related to building a lineage for SAP BO Webi Reports due to Gudu Parser exceptions is now fixed and working as expected.
2. In the Administration > Crawler > PowerBI Connector, the issue related to building a lineage for PowerBI due to "java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException" exceptions is now fixed and working as expected.
3. In the Administration > Crawler > Amazon Athena Connector, the issue related to not building a lineage through LoadMetaData from Files is now fixed and working as expected.
4. In the Administration > Crawler > SSRS Connector, the issue related to the non-display of Reports in the Data Catalog module is now fixed and working as expected.
