New Feature

  • Business Glossary
    In the Business Glossary module, the Ovaledge Public Users with the Meta permission as “Read-Only” can now suggest a term and view a term. However, users with “Read-Only” access are not allowed to edit and update the Term Description in the Business Glossary page.

Bug Fixes

  1. Home
    1. Global & Elastic Search - In the Home page at the right panel of global & elastic search, if the Apply button is clicked for the particular type of connection. It was showing the results for all objects instead of displaying search pertaining to that particular selected connection but now, this issue is resolved and working as expected.
  2. Data Catalog
    1. Data Catalog > Tables > Table Name Column Details, in the Column Details, the issue related to the display of the column title as null in the column level statistics, when the field is empty is now fixed and the column title is displayed with the proper title.
    2. Data Catalog > Queries > Global Search, the issue related to not displaying the result for search criteria based on the query is now resolved and working as expected.
    3. Data Catalog > Table > Table Name > Column Details, when the users edit the column name, the change of name was not saved or reflected unless the page was refreshed again but now, this issue is resolved and working as expected
  3. Business Glossary
    1. In the Business Glossary > Term Name > Search Icon, the issue related to searching a Sub Category and Terms at the left pane of the terms page is now resolved and working as expected.
    2. In the Business Glossary > Term Name > Business Description, it was possible for OE Public users to edit the business description, now OE Public user is assigned to META-READ access permission that does not allow to edit the business description, and if the user tries to edit, the system prevents a user from editing and throws an error that “that you do not have meta-write permission”. Now, the OE Public user with META-WRITE permission can edit the business description of a term from Business Glossary.
    3. In the Business Glossary, the issue related to the display of the Restricted column to non-admin users in the Data tab is now resolved and working as expected.
      In the Business Glossary, the issue related to the removal of the categories is now resolved and working as expected.
    4. In the Business Glossary, when there is a change of another user assigned as steward and reviewer from a domain then steward and reviewer were not reflecting on the term as well however now, this issue is fixed and working as expected.
    5. In the Business Glossary, when the column was removed from masking, the term of that unmasked column was not showing the previous data values but now, this issue is resolved and working as expected.
  4. Projects
    1. In the Projects, the issue related to the display of an error while removing the Default project from the 9 dots button is now resolved and working as expected.
  5. Governance Catalog
    1. In the Governance Catalog > Data Quality Rule, earlier the DQR rules were not getting added after the execution of the import SQL DQR advance job. Now, according to the correct template of the .csv file to import SQL DQR advanced jobs, this issue is resolved and working as expected.
    2. In the Governance Catalog > Service Desk > Access Request > Additional Information, earlier in the “Edit Custom Text Field”, the user was not able to click the Save button to save the change of text. Now, this issue is resolved and working as expected.
  6. Administration
    1. In the Administration > Advanced Jobs > ElasticSearch, earlier the execution of the "Advance job for Indexing Data into ElasticSearch" advanced job was taking time to create indices for Table Columns. Now, this issue is resolved and working fine as expected.
    2. In the Administration > Security, earlier deleting a domain was affecting the deletion of DAG tags belonging to that domain without any warning message to the user. Now, a warning pop-up window is displayed that alerts a user at the time of deleting a domain. The warning message is “Deleting this domain will delete the terms and DAG associated with this domain. Do you want to continue?”
    3. In the Administration > Security > Domains, earlier at the time of updating, the user of Steward was not reflected immediately without refreshing the page. Now, this issue is resolved and working as expected.
    4. In the Administration > Security > Database, earlier an error used to occur when a user was trying to edit or update the already assigned user in the column of ‘Available Roles’. But now, this issue is resolved and working as expected.
    5. In the Administration > Crawler > Connection Name, earlier the system was throwing an error while profiling the HDFS (non-kerb) connection. Now, this issue is resolved and working as expected.
  7. Connectors
    1. In the Administration > Crawler > Connection Name (Tableau), earlier when the lineage was built, the source table was not properly displayed for the specific report. Now, this issue is resolved and working as expected.
    2. In the Administration > Crawler > Connection Name (Tableau) > Edit Connection, earlier while validating the tableau connection for the first time is working fine again when the user clicks on the edit icon and validates the same connection the system is displaying an error in connection string changed to https. Now, this issue is resolved and working as expected.
