About OvalEdge 5.0.10

The OvalEdge 5.0.10 is the latest service release updated with the new advanced jobs to generate and download the results in CSV format and a new Dataset Schema Name column is included in the impacted objects that allow the user to view the dataset schema name along with the dataset connection and dataset names.

In this release, the critical and major bugs associated with the Data Catalog and Connectors are fixed and working as expected.

Improvements

Advanced Tools
In Advanced Tools > Impact Analysis > Impact Analysis Name > Impacted Objects – A new column “Dataset Schema Name” is included in the existing impacted objects data grid, to view the dataset schema name along with the dataset connection and dataset names.
Administration
In Administration > Advanced Jobs – The following advanced jobs are included generate and download the results in CSV format:
- Load DataId Details - It is used to load the input data into the OvalEdge application.
- Load Dataset SourceCode Names - It is used to download all the results from the sourcecode and dataset in the temppath provided in the configuration based on specified input data.
- Load Dataset SourceCode Names By Connectors – It is used to generate and download the results in CSV format with dataid, objectname, objecttype, tablename, column name, source code, and dataset details in the selected connector format.
OvalEdge API
In Query API, the new API by the name “getQueryResult” is included to fetch the results based on the query with the following "connectionId": 0, "connectionName", "datasetId", "limit", "query", "schemaId", "schemaName", and "startIndex” parameters.

Bug Fixes

Customer Issues
1. The issue related to the user being unable to login into the OvalEdge application with the valid user credentials is now fixed and working as expected.
2. The issue related to the Kerberos principal displaying automatically in the connection is now fixed and working as expected.
Data Catalog
1. Data Catalog > Schema Name > Security Settings > Edit Security Setting – The issue related to the display of duplicate User Names is now resolved and working as expected.
Connectors
1. In the Hive (Qubole) Connection and Crawl - The issue related to displaying NULL in the Technical Description for Column Level is now resolved and working as expected.
2. In the SISENSE Connection and Crawl - When the user navigates to Chrome Extension and logins to the Source, the Certification Policy is not getting displayed. Now, this issue is fixed and the Certification Policy is working as expected.
3. In the Qlinksense Connection – The issue related to the QVD formatter for Qliksense logs is now fixed and working as expected.
4. In the Tableau Connection – The issue related to the Lineage is showing for inactive data is now fixed and working as expected.
5. In Tableau Connection – The issue related to the display of Unpublished Reports in the Lineage is now resolved and working as expected.
6. In the QuickBase | PatternRelationship – The issue related to the incorrect representation of the Pattern is now fixed and working as expected.
7. In QuickBase Connection – The issue related to profiling is now resolved and working as expected.
8. In SQLServer Connection – The issue related to the application services is getting down while profiling a table is now resolved and working as expected.
