Health Check Troubleshooting Script
This article explains how to run a health check for the OvalEdge application. It collects OS details, storage information, and the last 500 lines of the ovaledge.log file.
Prerequisites
- Ensure you have Administrator access to the application VM.
Steps to Follow
- Download the script from the following link: https://ovaledge.s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/OvalEdge+Clients/European+Commission/troubleshooting.bat
- Move the script to any folder and open Command Prompt in that folder.
- Run the script from the command prompt. It will prompt you to enter:
- Tomcat Application URL (e.g., https://DomainName, without /login at the end)
- Path to oasis.properties file
- Path to ovaledge.log file (If using multiple Tomcats, provide the Tomcat UI logs path)
The script reads your input during execution.
- After the script runs, you will see the generated files in the folder.
- Open the outputfile.log file and check for any sensitive information. If you find any, remove it before sharing the file with the OvalEdge team.
Conclusion
By following this guide, you can easily run a health check for the OvalEdge application. The script collects key information like OS details, storage stats, and recent log entries. Review the output for sensitive data before sharing it with the OvalEdge team.
