Bookmark Your Searches for Easy Access

Bookmarks allow you to save the URLs of frequently accessed pages within the application for easy navigation. Bookmarking helps you save time and effort in discovering and accessing frequently used data objects or pages within the OvalEdge application without having to perform a new search each time. By bookmarking data objects, you can create a personalized list of frequently used data objects, which can help increase productivity and efficiency.

Bookmarking also helps users stay organized by allowing them to categorize data objects into folders based on their type, purpose, or other relevant criteria. This can help you quickly locate specific data objects and prevent clutter on the screen.

How to Bookmark a Data Object or Page

Step 1: Click on the ‘Global Search’ field in the header menu and enter the name of the data object (Table, File, column).


Step 2: The search results will display relevant information associated. 




Step 3: Click on the bookmark icon from the header menu and select ‘Add this to bookmark’.


Step 4: Upon selecting ‘Add this to bookmark’, a pop-up ‘Add Bookmark’ pop-up will appear on the screen. This pop-up allows you to customize the bookmark-related details.



Step 5: Customize the bookmark folder, either select an existing folder from the drop-down menu or create a new bookmark folder.

  • Bookmark Name: Customize the bookmark name. While the bookmark name is automatically populated, the user can change it as per their preference.
  • Link: The current page URL will be automatically populated.
  • Pin to header: Make the bookmark easily accessible from anywhere in the application, you can click on the "Pin to header" option.

Step 7: Finally, click the ‘Add’ button to successfully save the bookmark.
